What does a Newborn Session at-home looks like?

Booking: You’ll reach out to inquire and I’ll email back all of the info you’ll need to save your due date in my calendar (I’ll have you reach out after your baby is born to finalize a morning for me to come over). All that’s needed from you to book is a $50 non-refundable retainer fee, and also to fill out some quick online paperwork after your baby arrives.

Prep Guide: Once you’re booked I’ll email a Style Guide so you know what to wear.

Day of Your Session: I come over the day and time we previously agreed on. I’ll wash my hands and ask for a quick tour to see what rooms have the best natural light. We’ll usually take photos in the living room, a bedroom, and the nursery if you have one set up.

We spend a relaxed hour or so taking photos. Many parents prefer to use outfits they've previously bought.

*Upon request, I can bring some newborn outfits for you to choose from.

We’ll be sure to get photos of both parents snuggling the baby individually and together, your baby alone, and photos that include siblings and pets if they’re part of your family. Your photos will have a naturally candid look, but please know I’ll be guiding you into poses so you feel comfortable and know what to do. I don’t have a strict work flow and am flexible to leave space for authentic moments, but I will guide you to make sure you get a variety of photos with all the family combinations in about an hour.

After your session: I’ll send you an email with a Password to access your Unedited Private Online Gallery, where you will be able to Select (or heart) your Favorite images you'd like me to edit. Your package includes 15 edited high resolution images of your choice. If you'd like extras, they will be $15 each additional one.

About 2-3 weeks after the session you'll receive your online gallery collection, which includes high-resolution digital image downloads. I know my clients use their images in different ways, so I offer collections to choose from after seeing your photos. Each collection includes high-resolution digital image downloads and access to a Gallery Store where you can Order Prints. I use a Professional Lab, which will send you the prints straight to your home. Many families have me design a photo album for them so they can enjoy holding and looking through their photos with their family for years to come.
